Great German food and beverage selection! I (German) and my husband (American) had breakfast here, and the food is just like back at home in Germany. This place was one of our favorite stops along our route and we are so glad we stopped here for breakfast! The place is owned by a German couple (we have been told), and it shows! We would definitely stop here again if we come through again! :)

Well, first off, I have loved this place. I often stopped for dinner a couple of times a year when I happened to be traveling through. I've likely eaten there a dozen times and I loved it. This time was different. I don't know if it's changed hands or what, but the quality was disgraceful this time. My potato had been split, which is common, and half way through it, I discovered a hair. The pork ribs were barely cooked. In fact, I would say they were far short of cooked. Parts were the colour of raw pork. The fat was a thick slab on top, not rendered down, and the sauce tasted like... well... Kraft sauce. I'm afraid I've lost my little oasis in this tiny town. Sad.

Excellent goulash and garlic cheese bread -my regular 'go to' menu items. Their schnitzel is great as well, with generous portions and great service!

The waitress was very nice, she came and checked on us a couple times during our meal. I enjoy the log cabin atmosphere and sitting by the fireplace. The food was very good, although the hashbrown portion sizes are very small(about 1/3 what you at any restaurant I've ever dined at). The picture with no eggs on the plate had the pancake substituted for extra hashbrowns, I feel this amount should be the normal portion given. However, 3 strips of bacon seems to be standard everywhere you go, here you get 4.
